Ekho Heart Rate Monitors
help your Performance

Ekho heart rate monitors help control your weight and fitness level. The models WM-108 and WM-128 are weight management monitors that allow you to enter in the amount of calories you want to burn during the day. As you work or exercise it displays how many calories you have left to meet your goal.

Ekho offers several affordable models in the price range of $50-150. The basic model E-10, which costs $50, shows only the current heart rate. All other models provide current, average and maximum heart rate levels. They allow you to set target zones. A target zone is a heart rate range that guides your workout.

In order to set your target zone, you need to calculate your maximum heart rate. The accepted formula is:
1. For women you subtract your age from 226.
2. For men you subtract your age from 220.

Example: If you are a 40 year old man, your maximum heart rate is 220-40=180 beats per minute. For aerobic exercise your average heart rate should be about 70%. Your pulse rate would then be 180x70=126.
