A Jump Rope Workout
has many Benefits

A jump rope workout is an excellent way to burn fat, increase stamina and improve coordination. It can also increase muscle strength for shoulder, arm and leg muscles.

Jumping rope can help maintain healthy bones. It is a high impact exercise. If you have any health problems, consult with your doctor before you start.

It is easy to start. All you need is a speed rope and cushioned, good fitting shoes.

Ropes are inexpensive exercise items. They are usually sold in quantities of six. For example, standard speed ropes cost about $12-14 for six ropes. Ropes with larger grips and a heavier cord than standard, cost about $23-28 for six ropes.

Beaded ropes are available for aerobic workouts. Alternating bead colors provide better visibility for exercisers. Each bead is 1.5 inches long. Price is about $18-22 for six ropes.

Jump rope kits are available that include a rope, a workout manual and a DVD. These kits cost about $16. The workout manual and the DVD can be purchased separately.
