A Weightlifting Belt can help
perform Weightlifting Exercises

A weightlifting belt can reduce stress on your lower back, when lifting in an upright position. When doing overhead lifts, it may prevent hypertension.

It is generally not necessary to use belts during recreational lifting. If you intend to lift heavy weights, it might be best to consult a professional to assure that you get the right belt.

To be effective, the belt should be worn tightly. Wearing the belt tightly for a long time can cause elevated blood pressure. For this reason, the belt should be used only, when lifting heavy weights and the belt should be loosened when resting. It is not necessary to wear a belt for lifting light weights.

A weightlifting belt will not prevent injuries, if incorrect form is used. Be sure you know how to perform weightlifting exercises properly.

Price range for a belt is about $10-60.
